Tom ConCannon: Wicked local article and endorsement by the BMG editors. [NOTE by David: our endorsement of Concannon was just for his write-in candidacy in the primary. We have taken no position on who should win the caucus.]
John Panica: Website and email: john@johnpanica.com.
It may be worth mentioning that Tom Concannon also received the endorsement for this office from O’Donovan’s hometown paper.

Tom Moran (Chelmsford?) emailed me to say he is a candidate. My DTC chair also mentioned a couple of names I didn’t recognize and now unfortunately forget.
I had the clear impression that the Tom Concannon endorsement was in the primary, not the caucus.

My purpose was to promote our NH efforts in the Presidential. As people were discussing the merits of various candidates, a supporter of Tom proudly remarked on the BMG endorsement!
Kate is right: our endorsement of Concannon was just for the primary, in the hope of knocking out Buonomo by a write-in vote. Buonomo’s withdrawal of his name from the ballot has rendered that process moot. We have not taken any position on who should win the caucus.

Sorry about that. I saw the update on that post stating that the recommendation remained unchanged and thought it meant for the county caucus.

The winner of the county caucus will demonstrate a prowess that translates into the weight this person needs to lead the office, tame the Trial Court administrators and IT czars (get them moving), and hold the Legislature’s feet to the fire.

The “trial court administrators” are under the aegis of the Supreme Judicial Court. The chief justice for administration of each branch of the Trial Court is appointed by the SJC. A register runs the business of the specific county court. The register obviously needs to be able to work productively with AOPFC personnel and with the CJAM’s office in rolling out MassCourt technology.
<
p>I don’t care if the register went to law school at Catholic U or Harvard or (my alma mater) BC. Quite frankly, that’s not a relevant qualification, IMHO. What I do care about is whether that person has the skill set and operations experience required to rebuild morale, make the court more user-friendly, and improve efficiency and workflow so that justice gets more promptly administered. There has been little effort to reach out to the members of the Bar who regularly practice in the court, which is a shame, since we are critical consumers of the services and have valuable observations about how to make the place work better based on our experience. I only hope that I hear some answers to my questions tomorrow night.

Medford’s Tara DeChristofaro has won the Democratic nomination for Register of Probate held at Waltham High School by a vote of 303 to 142 on the fourth ballot. It was her electrifying two minute speech that swayed the vote away from 2nd place finisher Sean O’Donovan, Somerville Alderman. Maria Sheehy of Lowell was third in the race. Bob Colt endorsed Tara as did Maria Sheehy and at the end of the night, all the delegates and candidates of the Democratic Party stood behind Tara in a show of unity! I have a 6 minute video of her acceptance speech and statements Tara’s father, Sean O’Donovan, Joe Curtatone, Michael Marks, and Michael Callahan but You Tube is shut down right now for maintenance.
<
p>I’ll try to post it tonight but my eyes are closing.
