The Executive Summary is that I am “the Newest State Committee Member Representing the BHF (Berkshire, Hampshire, and Franklin) District” — I am filling a seat that was vacated by the recent death of 82-year-old long-time member Peter Arlos.
For those of you not famililar with my District, it’s the westernmost in the state, comprising about 25% of the land area of the state, and has within it 58 caucuses. Ben Downing is our Senator.
I look forward to continuing my work with all the good people I’ve met over the years who do the work of the people via the MassDems.

The DSC is so lucky to now count you amoung their own. Good Luck!
The SDC will be the better for your joining it – and what a huge district you have – for perspective, my district has only five cities or towns.
I’ll be there on 2/10.

p>I’m a little bit jealous; I wish that I was joining you filling our vacancy.
Good for you, and good for the DSC!
Silly me, I though you were already a member. Well I know you will keep up the good work.
You’ve been doing the work, now you get to vote. Welcome!! Enjoy trying to get to all those caucus’.
to pick up your cape and mask. You have to provide your own Batmobile.
and the bat phone.

p>Last year on Superbowl Sunday, Congressman Ed Markey was speaking to a group. It got a touch rowdy. Eventually the the cops were called. I mentioned to sco that a couple of mutual acquaintances, both DSC members, had arrived midway through the forum. He wanted to know if they had been called on our DSC bat phone to protect the Congressman!
<
p>Seriously, it was not nearly as bad as the coverage would lead you to believe.
Congratulations, Michael and welcome. I look forward to working with you.
