Restoring Confidence in Government — 1,2,3,and we’re on our way!

Collectively, like the lovely lady in the Thomas Nast cartoon looking over Tammany Hall, we all need to continue to pay attention and make sure our elected and appointed officials know we're watching them do their best to rebuild the public's confidence in our government.

    1.  Everyone behaves differently when they know that others are observing, and care about what they do.

    p>2.  Any untended space becomes rather chaotic at best – nasty at worst [think about attics, basements, and whatever is in the bottom of that closet you rarely open, for example].

    p>It is up to us as citizens to observe and participate.  We will, collectively, get the worst governance we tolerate.

    p>The new openness, such as the ability of any registered Democrat to call a Platform Hearing had best be used – or it will not be effective, and the opportunity will not be repeated.
