Hi BMG readers,
This week, the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus PAC (MWPC) voted to endorse Ayanna Pressley for an at-large seat on the Boston City Council. You can read all about Ayanna in the upcoming edition of the Boston Sunday Globe magazine.
We are thrilled to support such an outstanding candidate who will bring a unique voice and skillset to the Boston City Council. Many of us are familiar with her exemplary, collaborative approach and can-do style in connecting the residents of Boston and the state to resources and services, as an Aide to former Congressman Joseph Kennedy and Senator John Kerry.
Ayanna’s candidacy is groundbreaking for all of Boston, and for women everywhere. If elected she will be the first woman of color ever to serve on the council, and she’d be only the third woman ever to be elected at-large in the council’s 100-year history.
We at MWPC are excited to get busy helping Ayanna make history. See you on the campaign trail!
Sincerely,
Sheila Capone-Wulsin

While I’m not terribly surprised by this endorsement I think Ayanna is a great candidate. She has my support.
