The difference between a fiscally conservative Democrat and a Republican.

July 20, 2009 By liveandletlive

When Republicans talk about wasteful spending, they are talking about taxpayer dollars being used  for social programs such as Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, etc.  They would like to see the programs end entirely. When a Democrat talks about wasteful spending, it’s not the programs that are wasteful, it’s the nonsense way the programs are run.

Here is a great example. This isn’t just a health care reform problem, it’s a Medicare problem.  This is the kind of wasteful spending that needs to be addressed.  It’s not the wheelchair that is the problem, it’s the way the government goes about providing the wheelchair.

We need smart, thoughtful people in our government to pour over all of this waste and FIX IT.  I think it’s time to start providing IQ test results when people are running for office.  It must have something to do with intelligence.  Education and experience aside, an IQ test would give us a greater feel of potential capabilities in common sense.

And I’m further to the right than those mean Republicans.

p>I know I live in a hype-liberal state, and so have given up hope of a more libertarian life.  But I’m just as upset at the $1,200 wheel chair as you are.  (Except I have a plan to purchase them for $270.)

    <

p>The problem with fiscally conservative democrats is that there are only 9 of you left in MA.

That’s how I first got truly inspired into the #mapoli world, when I played the role of my state rep back in 2008….then came full circle working for him as I began my career!😀

Student Government Day is usually a day of firsts – first time in the State House, first time meeting your legislators, first peek at how a bill becomes law.

And it's just the beginning for these students. Before we know it, they'll be back in these seats making laws for real!

The fiction maga's telling is that prosecuting a former pres. is dangerous. maga thinks its dangerous because they think the motive is political. evidence to the contrary is; Michael Cohen pleaded guilty, Trump was individual 1, DOJ won't indict a sitting pres. #BosPoli #MaPoli

Social GP @SocialGP2

“As @djrothkopf writes, prosecuting former leaders may be unprecedented in the U.S., but it is nothing new among the world’s western democracies. In fact, accountability for crimes is essential under the rule of law. @BarbMcQuade “ https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/braggs-office-warns-gop-unlawful-political-interference-rcna77615

Now he's lying about NY grand jury indictment

It's official: April is #CareWorkersRecognitionMonth!

Thank you @POTUS for recognizing what we keep screaming: care workers are the backbone of our economy. They can't afford to wait for good jobs, better pay, benefits, and access to paid leave! https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2023/03/31/a-proclamation-on-care-workers-recognition-month/
