There was also a ‘no relation Kennedy’ who ran for Middlesex Register of Deeds [the nomination, and the 422 member caucus held to choose the Democratic Nominee] – while “Kennedy” is not as common as “Smith” it is not the least common Irish surname by any means.

p>So, whomever this “Joe Kennedy” is, he is NOT one of “The Kennedy” family and you note he tells nothing about his family, where he was born, where he went to school, or any experience in governance. Not even a Town Moderator – so is he for “real” – depends what you mean by “real”.

There were a Robert and an Edward Kennedy from Lowell (no relation to the dynasty and I don’t know about what if any relation to each other) who were in local politics in the 1980s. I believe Robert ran for (I believe successfully) Governor’s Council and Edward was a City Councilor and County official. Edward is a 20-year DSC member and happens to be the husband of one of my former teachers. Sorry this is vague; all I have to go on is fuzzy memory.
Is a large number to obtain without an organization or a bankroll. When is the date for signatures to be in? But if Kennedy made the election by some miracle, he could be a difference maker. I think he could gather at least 10% of the vote from the not-as-informed-as-they-should-be electorate.

If this guy made the ballot the press would be all over it and only people living in caves would not know that he is not the same Joe Kennedy.

…I think recent events have taught us to never underestimate the ignorance/stupidity of some voters.
