This election is going to give me a heart attack. I hope Obama showing up will put Coakley over the top. Gawd knows she has to be dragged across the finish line with all the help she can get.

If Brown was in fact leading, I think he wouldn’t have come. It’s to maintain the lead and get this thing sealed.

Obama is coming because the wheels are falling off. Stick a fork in Martha – she’s done.

If Coakley is down by 4, do you think Obama would come here to stomp for her? I could only imagine how the wingnuts would run with it for months. You only have a few more days of fun, enjoy it.
…Obama would go to NJ for Corzine unless Corzine had it in the bag?
<
p>…Obama would go to VA for Deeds unless Deeds had it in the bag?
<
p>…Obama would go to Copenhagen for the Chicago Olympics unless Chi-Town had it in the bag?
<
p>…Obama would go to Copenhagen for the “Climate Change” summit unless he knew there would be a meaningful agreement?
<
p>Of course Obama only goes in when the Democrat has it in the bag!
<
p>Obame, now 0-4, going for 0-5……

Obama coming, will put her over the top in my opinon.

p>I work in health care on the management side. We are a full union shop from MNA to laborers. Today, I overheard two of our admin staff chatting about the election and it went something like this:
<
p>-Did you see the email from XXXXX?
<
p>-Yeah, I was not planning on voting, but it looks like it might be getting close. Martha needs us all to show up.
<
p>-Want to vote at lunch next week?
<
p>I’m hoping this was one of many similar convesations happening all over the state.

We are all familiar with the e-mail onslaughts from Party leaders. We blog, so we see the campaigns hack it out. It gets dizzying and seems like a freight train barreling down.
<
p>Sometimes it just takes a simple ask. “Ya gonna vote on Tuesday?” Then take it from there.
<
p>If we all do this 3-4 times, then they ask 3-4 more; we win.

I didn’t think Obama would risk it, honestly. A risky move, but one that will certainly motivate Dem voters even more than Bill Clinton’s visit. I still think Obama’s appearances for Corzine in NJ made the race closer than it otherwise would have been, and were therefore a positive development for him. Let’s hope this visit puts Coakley over the top.
If Coakley’s campaign really sends Obama to Quincy or Framingham then they really are the stupidest campaign in modern history.
<
p>Similarly, some downtown event chiefly attended by liberal supervoters from Arlington will not get the most bang for the buck.

There’s a lot of independents out that way.

I’m picturing a big crowd at the JFK birthplace at 83 Beals Street, in Coolidge Corner. He could stroll over to grab a slice at Upper Crust, and then entertain the press at the Coolidge Corner Theatre. What’s the matter with THAT?
