Just a reminder to fill out and return your census form, which should arrive in the mail this week. If you have kids, let them help! This year, there are no “long form” questionnaires–everyone has the same ten questions to answer, and it shouldn’t take more than ten minutes.
(I’m probably preaching to the choir on this here at BMG. There’s actually a fair amount of know-nothing opposition to the census on the right this year, so who knows? If we all fill out our forms at a higher rate than our esteemed right-wing friends, perhaps Congress will look a little bluer than it otherwise would for the next decade!)

When Nancy Pelosi declared impeachment was “off the table”. It was before we knew of the deliberate globalist engineered financial crash. There was a hope of return to reason and sanity. Not crushing childrens tesicles for the Holy Jihad, tazering grandma or having all of your Google searches piped through the NSA. A bailout for the super rich, a swine flu eugenics effort and the removal of modern lifestyle for billions by collecting a “green tax” and just giving that money to the globalist parasites for the Bernie Madoff people exploitation for excess profits of the already billionaire Davos private jet set.

p>No, these people already know who I am, how livid, foaming at the mouth rabidly anti-globalist government I am so I may as well once again fully illustrate my contempt via the census.

where you can fully illustrate contempt?

One other thing… students, the Census Bureau wants you to use your school address, even if you return to your parents in the summer. The form asks people not to include students away at college, so if you don’t fill out a census form here in Massachusetts, you may not be counted at all!

If you have children who are studying abroad, you should include them on your census, as they will not be counted otherwise.

I maintained my voter registration at home throughout college. Since the primary purpose of the census is to determine Congressional apportionment it seems there should be some self-determination as to where one is counted based on where one votes. Also, my loyalties remained with Massachusetts. If we’re dividing up the federal money pot I want my “share” to go to Massachusetts, not DC where I attended college.

As I understand it, the census, rightly or wrongly, does not focus on the technical idea of domicile (roughly, your permanent home), but instead on the place where you are actually living most of the time. So a college student who lives 9 months of the year at school and 3 months of the year at “home” gets counted at college.
<
p>Also, if you’re concerned about Massachusetts getting its fair share, it seems to me (though I don’t have any stats) that we are probably a net importer of students instead of a net exporter, so we as a Commonwealth will do better if college students are counted at school rather than at home.
