Former Red Sox great Roger Clemens, his legacy as imperiled as baseball’s integrity by the steroid scandal, was indicted yesterday on multiple charges of lying to Congress when he denied plying himself with illegal performance-enhancing drugs.
A supremely arrogant man, who seems to believe his athletic ability exempts him from all the rules.

Is it coincidence that the day the Clemens indictment comes down NOAA testifies before congress and their “25% oil left in Gulf of Mexico” becomes 75% under oath? Or are some bureaucrats afraid to share a cell with The Rocket?

All the analysts seem to be assuming that Clemons is lying, but why? Because the feds say so? I’m not a big fan of his arrogance either, but innocent until proven guilty and just maybe he IS the one telling the truth.

It left the feds free to go after a baseball player over whether he was telling the truth about taking steroids fifteen years ago.
