CONTESTED DEMOCRATIC PRIMARIES
Treasurer: Steve Grossman
Auditor: Mike Lake
GENERAL ELECTION:
Governor/Lt. Governor: Deval Patrick & Tim Murray
Attorney General: Martha Coakley
Sec. of State: Jim Henderson (Independent)
Treasurer: Steve Grossman (I assume he will be the nominee)
Auditor: Mike Lake OR Suzanne Bump (I will vote for Nat Fortune of the Green-Rainbow Party if Guy Glodis is the Democratic nominee)
Please share widely!
is a vote for smart government.
Because when Glodis wins, Mary Z is going to rip him apart.
Has her own primary, with Kamal Jain making this a lot closer than the convention vote!
Isn’t this supposed to be the year of the outsider? Isn’t it a good idea to inject some new blood into the Democratic Party here in Mass?
<
p>Yes, Glodis is “odious,” but I still think Democrats should support the best candidate in a party primary.
Guy is the right candidate with the right vision and experience! Only candidate who has no ties to any administration or politician! GO GUY! Best shot the democrats have of beating Mary Z…
This Democrat would rather vote for a Republican than a racist misogynist patronage peddling hack like Glodis. He would be the worst Democrat nominate since Silber, he make keep the unions and Reagan Democrats out west happy, but he won’t get the progressive vote (presuming we do our job and educate the populace).
<
p>I am endorsing Bump, but for the record I find the Bump/Lake fight stupid and distracting. Lake is just as qualified, I just liked Bump’s answers to my questions better. Either would be far better than Glodis, they should train their sites on him, both because he is the frontrunner and also because he would be bad for the party. He could win sad to say, and he might even be more electable in the wake of Scott Brown, but he would shame this party and be a lasting stain upon it. George Wallace was a Democrat too, doesn’t make either worthy of my vote.
I will be voting for whomever the republican opponent is. As a recent college grad who was an accounting major I understand how important and essential the position of auditor is. I will vote to send a corrupt sheriff into the auditors office to engage fraud and potentially bankrupt massachusetts with all his rediculous scandals. I do not like the idea of voting republican but that is how it is.
<
p>I do not like the idea of bashing a particular candidate but electing Glodis to this office is a major liability I will not vote for such negligence. However, this site did go nuclear on a certain candidate who I have a great amount of respect for in the senate race so bashing a candidate is second nature here.
<
p>I like Mike Lake a lot and despite the fact Bump may or may not have a better chance of getting a plurality against Glodis, I have decided to go with Mike Lake because he has the best resume and upward potential. If Bump wins the primary she will have my full support in the general. To that I say good luck Mike Lake. I am looking forward to primary day. My other primary picks are Grossman for treasurer and Mac D’alessandro. If you live in the Needham, Medfield, or Dover and are in Lida Harkins district please vote Denise
Garlick for state rep
…whether your second sentence was intended as tongue-in-cheek. No ties to other politicians, really? He’s served in the legislature and has quite a few connections to Beacon Hill. Objectively Mike Lake is the one outsider on our side, though I’m supporting Bump because I believe she has the right qualifications for the job.
Lake and Bump dont have the resources to beat Mary… Guy has the only chance ot beat her. Money doesnt buy elections but it certainly helps
are a worthless hack.
Than a crooked Democrat.
<
p>The first situation can be corrected next election; the other will become entrenched.
Point of Information:
<
p>How soon must I register for an absentee ballot for the primary? I have been delaying it because I have to move apartments.
…on absentee ballots is here, but the deadline to register is TOMORROW.
Does that mean mailed in by tomorrow or post marked by tomorrow?
Request an absentee ballot while you’re at it, but I believe that step can wait until the last minute. Registration and absentee ballots are two different things, the first of which has the advanced deadline.
I am already a registered Democrat, registered to vote in MA, do I need to register for this specific primary? Also can’t go in today as I am living semi-permanently in Chicago.
…which is what I thought you said. You still have time to get a ballot credited to your current MA address, but I’d still do it sooner rather than later to make sure you get it in time.
Why would rather a republican in office. We are all supposed to unify and come together, whether our candidate won. You don’t have to vote republican, just don’t vote for that office, leave it blank, if you are that low and narrow minded. Guy is my candidate for several reasons. Now we all know he is going to win the primary, whether you like it or not. We must come together as Democrats and help Guy defeat Mary Z!
Are you working for his campaign and/or the Sheriffs Department? I only ask because you never answered jumbowonk’s inquiry on June 7th:

<
p>So can you give us some reasons to support Guy Glodis, aside from the all-too-common “he has the most money”?
To Mike Lake,
<
p>I am thrilled to see your 2-to-1 lead in this poll. I believe you are making a difference! Just a couple months ago Bump was the darling of this blog. Your message is CLEARLY resonating with the progressives and liberals here and beyond. Keep up the steam!
