Here’s what I said yesterday in a post about the latest polls:
Patrick is ahead and should win – he has been ahead in every single independent poll published in this cycle.
But turnout is everything. Everything. A couple of points worth of extra energy on the other side could swing the election.
Really, nothing else matters now. The issues, the charges and countercharges, that’s mostly done now. This weekend, Monday, and of course Tuesday are all about getting the supporters to vote. We know there are enough to win. We just have to make sure they all show up.
OK, so how to do that? It’s so easy – just show up! Here is a handy map which shows you where every single staging location for GOTV activities is located. To see the areas where the pins are crowded together, you can use the + button in the upper left-hand corner of the map to zoom in, and the cursor to drag the view to the exact spot you are interested in. Click on any pin to get the street address as well as, in many cases, contact information for the person in charge of that location. But advance contact is not necessary. All you have to do is show up.
Hours are: Sunday 11 am – 6 pm
Monday 2 pm – 9 pm
Tuesday 6 am – 8 pm

No excuses. Just do it. Leave it all on the field, as the saying goes.

The Central Square office address is incorrect – should be 563 Massachusetts Ave. Still have big volunteer needs in Cambridge – please join us!

After my canvassers went out and came back on Sunday, I walked some turf myself. A very causal acquaintance on whose door I knocked told me that she had sent me an e-mail saying that she wanted to help.
<
p>She told me that Michelle Obama had sent her an e-mail, inviting her to my house! My home is a staging area, but I am curious as to what Michelle said. Anyone else get an e-mail like that?

Not to your house, obviously, but to our Watertown staging area.
<
p>I’ll forward it to you if you want.

I found it to be very strange that the Democratic Coordinated Campaign chose Roslindale Square as the backdrop for their last big media event before Election Day. Roslindale has NO elected officials who live here, and has clammored for a Roslindale State Representative District for decades.
<
p>To all of the people asking for our votes tomorrow, Do the people of my neighborhood a favor during the upcoming redistricting. Give us a chance to have our own voice in the legislature by creating a Roslindale majority State Representative district. Thank you.
<
p>Respectfully Submitted,
Sincerely,
