Note: The first sentence has been edited to correct both a grammatical and logic error, because, as we all known, the universe abhors a paradox, and only a living Tardis is strong enough to hold a paradox in place.
Bill Donohue – President of the Catholic League had a “brilliant scheme” to turn the tables on the NYC Pride Parade in response to the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which like in Boston, was boycotted by the newly elected Mayor of New York because of its refusal to allow Gay participants. His plan, was to apply to march in the NYC Pride Parade in June and informed the Parade Organizers that he wanted to carry a banner that read, “Straight Is Great”. Apparently, the plan was to be refused by parade organizers, and then claim that they were being hypocrites.
Unfortunately for him, his application was accepted. Then, as part of the safety protocols for the parade, he was informed that he would need to attend the training program for the parade, so that he or his representative, would know what do to in the event of an emergency. Rather than attend, he decided instead to denegrate the emergency training by calling it “Gay Training Sessions”, and he does not want to be Trained on How to be Gay. Talk about Turning the Stupid up to 11.

Something’s wrong with it. It says someone boycotted the Pride Parade because it refused to allow Gay participants.
That could perhaps be called a Paradox Parade.

Sorry, I was looking for something grammatical. So now “its” in “its refusal”, is referring to the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
