The Lowell Sun does a good job of recapping the exchanges between Sullivan and Ryan. A couple of my favs:
* Ryan was criticized by a Superior Court judge in 2013 for making an “unfair and misleading” presentation to a grand jury just to secure an indictment.
Ryan later said she spoke with the responding officer and police sergeant, who both said they don’t remember Sullivan handling the case at all.
“The story was chilling,” Ryan said in a press release. “The only problem? The case was real. The people who worked on it are still around. And none of them remember Michael Sullivan handling the case.”
Ryan’s press release quotes large sections of Sullivan’s responses, but omits Sullivan’s statement that he spoke directly to a state trooper.
Ryan seems to have real trouble when it comes to releasing ALL the information about anything. The Waltham News Tribune has been hammering Ryan for 2 weeks now for her failure to release information and brief the family of a murder victim in Waltham.
