The Young Democrats of Massachusetts Disability Caucus is excited to announce that we are formally kicking off our maiden event.
We will be honoring retiring Framingham State Rep. Tom Sannicandro who has a long history of Disability Advocacy and Legislation. Policy accomplishments include The Real Lives Bill of 2014 which gave those served by the DDS control over the state budgets set aside for their services, and the Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Bill which created a mainstream public education program for individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18-22.
Confirmed Speakers include Senator Barbara L’Italien and Representative Sean Garballey, and of course Rep. Sannicandro.
Please join fellow Young and Young at Heart Democrats to hear from and to say farewell to a legislator who has accomplished so much advocating for us. The kickoff will be held at Lir in Boston on Thursday, March 24
