This coming at the end of two-week period where Mr. Cuomo is on-camera live and unscripted being the effective communicator, decision maker, and leader that America needs.
I understand all the reasons why that’s unfair comparison. The entire situation is unfair.
I’m done with Joe Biden. I would like to see him step aside in favor of Mr. Cuomo or, for that matter, any other similarly-qualified Democrat.

They are not getting as much national coverage (partly because neither has a CNN anchor as a brother), but the governors of California and Washington have done very well recently and Washington is an example of a good response leading to a fast slowdown despite much higher earlier numbers of cases. Cuomo’s state could see tens of thousands die. And the Washington guy is pretty damn good on other things, like climate.
Joe isn’t leading on policy now about how to respond to this. He isn’t the comforting voice of steady leadership. He wants to “heal the soul of the nation” and he’s getting a test run for that work right now and failing at every turn.
In his most recent appearances he has crapped on Medicare for All and told people that voting in person in Wisconsin can be safe, but also that any changes to elections should be left to the legislatures and the courts without offering options for what states should do.

Why so coy? Just say it. I’m not voting for Biden.
That means you’re voting for the Ghoul..

Please please please understand that this as the argument for a candidate means we will lose.

So, doubleman? The suspense is killing me. Who are you voting for president?
I mean , curious minds are just dying to know.

Come on, Fred, you know that’s a classic false dichotomy.
I’ve already written a lengthy comment directly responding to you where I make clear that I’ll vote for Mr. Biden over Mr. Trump if he is the nominee.
I did not say “I’m not voting for Biden.”
I said, instead, that I’m concerned about his health and his physical ability to handle this job.

Pretty sure he’s talking about our resident Biden-basher doubleman rather than you.

@Christopher:
I hope so. Fred was responding directly to my comment (according to the nesting), that’s why I interpreted it as I did.

” Today I endorse Joe Biden for president. This trying time for our country has made crystal clear that elections matter and that we need a strong, honest and compassionate leader in the White House. Donald Trump is not that person; we must defeat him in November.”

Heh. This would be much funnier if it didn’t hurt so much.
It seems that the best Mr. Biden could muster a day after becoming the sole nominee is a staff-written piece on The Medium.
