In his first year in office President Biden got 42 judges — district and appeals — confirmed ; the same as JFK did in ’61 with one notable distinction. It was a hell of a lot harder. Most of JFK’s nominees were quickly approved by a bipartisan Senate through unanimous consent. The average waiting time for Biden’s nominees imposed by super partisan Senate Republicans is FOUR MONTHS !
Furthermore, Biden has dramatically expanded the diversity of judicial nominees to reflect the pluralism of our democracy. Only two of them are white males and one third have experience as public defenders.
Well done Mr. President and keep fighting to make us a more perfect union!
