Sen. Sonia Chang-Diaz announced today that she will no longer actively campaign for Governor, presumably after consulting relative poll numbers and bank accounts. She will instead promote what she calls “Courage Democrats” down ballot. I guess we now have to hope Maura Healey breaks the Attorney General’s curse, which she seems poised to per recent polls.

This is unfortunate, and while I had been leaning Healey, Sonia may now get my vote after all to reward her for a policy focused campaign and her 13 year legislative record which includes actually passing major bills like the Student Opportunity Act and not just saying the right things. It’s too bad she cannot be put on the ticket this late in the game.
