MassDems likely to cancel convention; Markey wins convention endorsement

March 31, 2020 By Charley on the MTA

Markey is a movement leader; Kennedy fails the Mudd test

February 19, 2020 By Charley on the MTA

I’m just getting to writing up the Senate debate last night. (This is school vacation week and my schedule is not my own.) And right from the outset, Ed Markey dominated. Joe Kennedy got his licks in -- some of them legitimate. But never … [Read more...]

The MA Democratic Party is holding its caucuses over the next few weeks, to choose up delegates for the state convention on 5/30. The delegates often will declare their support for one candidate or another, if there’s a contested primary. … [Read more...]

JKIII’s speech: He did well!

January 31, 2018 By Charley on the MTA

I had an appointment and missed most of Trump's speech; needless to say I don't really regret missing such moral wretchedness. But I was actually looking forward to Joe Kennedy III's speech. David and I had a chance to meet him a few years … [Read more...]

Calling Out the Naked Emperor

March 2, 2012 By the-caped-composer

The recent brouhaha over Scott Brown's vote on the Blunt Amendment will likely fade into memory in a news cycle or two. His policy position on the issue is obviously out of step with the majority of Bay State voters. However, the latest … [Read more...]

What happens if Delahunt retires? (Crossposted from MassBeacon.com)

February 15, 2010 By conor

The Globe mentions Senate President Therese Murray as a potential candidate, and I could definitely see her making the jump.  She represents a good chunk of the district, has served in the State Senate for nearly 20 years, and her time … [Read more...]

Why don't the landlords demand that govts put the houseless/homeless in their rental properties since "give them a house" is too much?

I'm shocked they don't see the 'govt handout' opportunity sitting there.

They whine so much yet do nothing. #MApoli #BOSpoli #GovernmentSubsidy
