New Suffolk poll: Patrick still up 7; ahead in fav/unfav; 59% expect him to win

October 29, 2010 By David 5 Comments

On the heels of Charlie Baker's effort to spin the news with another internal poll - quite an unsuccessful effort, I might add - Suffolk has released a new poll showing what basically all independent polls have shown recently: Patrick holds … [Read more...]

Baker’s own internal poll shows his campaign collapsing

October 28, 2010 By David 20 Comments

Our friends at RMG report that Charlie Baker's internal pollster shows the race as a dead heat at 40-40. This is, of course, terrible news for Team Baker. Why? Two reasons. One, the very same pollster had Baker at +7 two weeks ago, as the … [Read more...]

Globe endorses Patrick in a remarkably eloquent editorial

October 27, 2010 By David 1 Comment

The Globe has endorsed Deval Patrick for reelection.  That in itself is not much of a surprise.  What did surprise me, though, is how cogent, thoughtful, and passionate the editorial is.  I'm not always the biggest fan of the … [Read more...]

One of these things is not like the others …

October 26, 2010 By David 4 Comments

Check out this hilarious photo, from today's Herald, of last night's debate.  Do you notice something different about one of the candidates? Yeah, that's right.  Three of them are laughing or smiling.  And one of them looks … [Read more...]

Post-debate media roundup: disaster for Baker

October 25, 2010 By David 8 Comments

I couldn't watch tonight's debate, but from the coverage of several (non-partisan) reporters on Twitter and the Globe and Herald post-debate pieces, it's pretty easy to conclude what happened: Charlie Baker lost. Why?  Two reasons. … [Read more...]

Debate liveblog

October 25, 2010 By sabutai 35 Comments

A vision question??  Poor Baker's already screwed, and we haven't brought up endorsements of child molesters yet.  Tim Cahill says he isn't a poet, and promptly proves it by talking about the suburbs. Charlie Baker promises a … [Read more...]

AP finds devastating memo from Charlie Baker about the Big Dig

October 24, 2010 By David 27 Comments

Talk about an October surprise.  This memo, dug up by Glen Johnson at AP, is absolutely devastating, and it couldn't come at a worse time for Charlie Baker - the same day a Globe poll finds him still trailing Deval Patrick and losing … [Read more...]

New Globe poll: Patrick up 43-39; his fav/unfav is +6 while Baker’s is -2

October 24, 2010 By David 9 Comments

The Globe's new poll shows a closer race than most other independent pollsters, though it still has Patrick ahead.  As the title indicates, the poll shows Patrick up over Baker 43-39, with Cahill at 8%, Stein at 2%, and 8% undecided or … [Read more...]

Rally FAIL

October 23, 2010 By David 19 Comments

The Globe's description of what happened in Dennis today is comedy gold.  Remember, this was supposed to be a joint appearance by Perry and Baker to rally the troops for the Republican ticket!  Woohoo! Perry, under fire for his … [Read more...]

New poll: Patrick leads by 8 (44-36), Cahill at 8.

October 22, 2010 By David 13 Comments

The race marches on, the candidates keep campaigning, advertising, and debating, and the numbers keep getting worse for Charlie Baker. Western New England College has released a new poll of 400 likely voters taken October 16-21. … [Read more...]

Hey #mapoli please tell me come 2022 we are going to remember how Charlie Baker mismanaged the COVID vaccine rollout, vetoed the consensus police reform bill, vetoed abortion access, vetoed the consensus climate bill, didn’t fund the SOA, and slashed transit. Please.

Focus on the record - "small minded and shortsighted" justification for transit cuts that make it tougher to reduce emissions, harm those in need and hold back our recovery #mapoli https://twitter.com/cdempc/status/1353002390560141318?s=20
