.@CDCgov dir. @RWalensky, once part of MA's #COVID19 advsy board, said

"Now is not the time to relax the critical safeguards that we know can stop the spread of COVID-19 ... not when we are so close."

But @MassGovernor pushes to reopen.

Who is advising Gov. Baker now?

It's time to state outright that Charlie Baker's science advisory team is the Chamber of Commerce. That's why we were slow to act last year, why our public health network got ignored on vaccines & why our reopenings have flown in the face of data, expert advice & common sense. https://twitter.com/MikeConnollyMA/status/1366423893276303364

Just reiterating my COVID philosophy: Instead of bucking advice from the CDC and Dr. Fauci (by further reopening the Mass. economy), we should #TaxTheRich and use the new revenue to provide cash relief to people in need and small businesses while also investing in health equity.

Just a reminder that Massachusetts is going to unlimited capacity indoor dining starting tomorrow while the CDC begs us not to, and it’s super embarrassing that no one can articulate a justification why other than 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤷🏻‍♂️
