As has been widely reported, the Massachusetts Republican party picked up four possible internet domain names that Attorney General Tom Reilly might have wanted to use for his undeclared campaign for Governor.
But according to today’s Globe, the GOP says it paid $50 each for four websites, for a total of $200. Wow — they must have been using a gold-plated registrar. The regular price to register a .com domain name here is $8.95 per year, so the two-year registrations they bought for their four domains should have cost $71.60. The party of fiscal responsibility, indeed!
So, if the Mass. GOP is looking to buy hammers and toilet seats, I’m sure the Pentagon could recommend some excellent suppliers.
