We’ve been talking for weeks about the primaries (which will probably determine the winners) for the special elections to fill the vacant seats in three districts: Suffolk 12th (Tom Finneran’s old seat), Suffolk 18th (Brian Golden’s old seat), and Berkshire 3rd (Peter Larkin’s old seat). We’ve endorsed Tim Schofield in the Suffolk 18th race, and there are long and interesting discussions about the election in the comments at these three posts. Other bloggers have covered these races as well, particularly Fred Clarkson and Noho for the Berkshire race, and Democracy for MA has a wealth of contact info if you’d like to volunteer.
But TODAY IS THE DAY. The only thing that really matters, of course, is how many voters show up to vote for their candidate of choice. So if you live in one of the districts that is holding an election today, DON’T FORGET TO VOTE!
By the way, if you are uncertain where your polling place is, you can find out at this excellent website run by the Secretary of State’s office.

So do you guys have access to results through the campaigns or the city of Boston? I can’t find anything on the web. If the Globe ever does put it up, it will be 12 hours after it’s decided.

NECN is useless and I’m not sure if the Secretary of State page is being updated. Any other ideas?
