Stop me if you’ve heard this one: Dr. James Dobson, one of the wingnuttiest of the wingnuts and head of "Focus on the Family," compared the "men in white robes," i.e., the Ku Klux Klan, who "did great wrong to civil rights and to morality," to the "black robed men" now serving on the US Supreme Court. (Don’t believe it? Listen for yourself – it’s the daily radio broadcast of April 11, at about 23:00 into the tape.)
I’m offended, deeply offended, by Dr. Dobson’s profoundly sexist remarks. What about Justices O’Connor and Ginsburg? Are their robes not just as black as those of their male colleagues? To Dr. Dobson, I can only say this: Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?
