A secret British intelligence briefing memo, apparently leaked to the British press by disaffected staffers trying to embarrass Tony Blair before the upcoming elections, shows that US planning for the Iraq war was in a highly advanced state eight months before the war actually began, and that Bushco saw military action as the only viable option. One of the most interesting passages:
Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy. The NSC had no patience with the UN route, and no enthusiasm for publishing material on the Iraqi regime’s record. There was little discussion in Washington of the aftermath after military action.
Well, there you go. There’s a report in the London Times here.

These are revelations only to the idiotic public that can’t handle reading more than 2 news sources. Anyone that followed the constant bullshit that came from the White House during the propaganda campaign knew early on that war was there only option. Amazing that this piece of news comes out in time to tarnish Blair and he still wins. Are the British even dumber than the Americans? We have an psychopathic idiot for a President – they have Prime Minister who heeds the every word and command of the psychopathic idiot.
