If you’ve arrived at this blog by clicking on the link in the Boston Phoenix’s story about the Democratic convention last weekend, welcome! Our convention coverage is here (be sure to read the comments, which contain as much info as the original post). We hope you’ll look around, and if you like what you see (or even if you don’t), we hope you’ll come back and visit us again.
The Phoenix story, by the way, is well worth reading if you haven’t seen it already – a good rundown on the substance (such as it was) of the convention, plus some interesting background on the rules changes. I particularly like the snippy quote from state party spokesperson Jane Lane, who has obviously had enough of Jesse Gordon!

I thought the comment about Jesse Gordon was way out-of-line. There’s simply no reason for our Democratic officials to be snarky with Democrats. It’s unprofessional.Every administration needs good-faith pain-in-the-asses. Jessse Gordon is one of those, and that’s important. After all, US Dems are talking about the importance of the minority in the adversarial role, effectively “keeping folks honest.”So, Kudos Jesse Gordon. Keep on keepin’ on. Plain Jane Lane: for shame!

Yay for Blue Mass Group. They deserve all the kudos they get. I enjoyed the Phoenix article. It had some backstory that I was not aware of. I was a Reich supporter, but I had no idea of the turmoil his candidacy created. Having just moved to MA from CA I was not up to speed with politics. stomv – I’m with you. I didn’t appreciate Jane Lane’s comments about Jesse Gordon either. She should spend less time talking trash and more time updating the Mass Dems Blog. Not talking about the controversy at the convention will not make it go away.

I’d like to plug Jake Beal’s excellent Open Letter to Howard Dean about the charter fiasco at the convention.(and if you have a dailykos account, there are still a few more hours left in which you can recommend that diary)
