Yes, THAT John Edwards. Charley and I just spent about 15 minutes in a conference room at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government with no one but Senator Edwards and one of his staff members. Edwards was at Harvard as part of a ten campus tour to promote his anti-poverty initiative called "Opportunity Rocks." We’ll be posting our impressions of the conversation (separately, of course!) shortly.

Were you guys the only bloggers there? I wanted to go, but I couldn’t get to Harvard in time (Man, I miss working in Cambridge). I’m glad you folks were able to get there and I’m looking forward to your reports!

This lil’ blogger was flattered just to be invited. If they invited me, they must have invited e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e! đŸ™‚ I couldn’t go though. If I did, I’d probably still be stuck in traffic. I’m looking forward to reading your report too. During the 2004 elections my son and I volunteered up in Nashua, NH at an Edwards rally. Good times. Plus, I got a kickass pic of my son with the Senator that is still on my fridge. Yeah, I have closure issues.

Mariposa, if we didn’t have closure issues, we wouldn’t be doing this frickin’ blog. And the great thing about democracy is that it’s never closed, right? We all have another move.My favorite pieces of ’04 schwag are a Kerry/Edwards brochure signed by Red Sox owner Tom Werner, and my “Kerry/Red Sox — We Believe!” sign… still next to the computer.Go ahead, make fun…

Duuuude… that speech made me all sniffy. I know that’s right that we all have another move, but sometimes things get so damn dark and scary, that it’s hard to remember that truth. Blogging is better than screaming into the wind, I guess. đŸ™‚ I STILL believe!
