If you’re planning on going to the Oktoberfest in Harvard Square tomorrow, keep an eye out for folks in royal blue GBIO (Greater Boston Interfaith Organization) t-shirts, collecting signatures for the MassACT health care ballot initiative, which would insure 80% of the currently uninsured folks in MA, and make it cheaper for everyone else, too.
I know, I know, Harvard Square is chock full of political activist types with varying degrees of sanity and legitimacy. These folks are for real. If you haven’t already, do take the opportunity to sign the petition. This is just the second weekend of the petition drive: The more we can get in the first couple of weeks, the more pressure on the legislature to pass significant health care reform — and if not, we’ll go to the mats with the ballot.
