Before he died, Peter Jennings did a <a

little documentary on the American health care crisis, which
broadcast on ABC tonight. It was quite good, I thought — a good primer
for folks who aren’t super-well versed in the issue, and don’t know why
their premiums are going up all the time. It was very serious and
substantive in tone.
What I’d really like to see is a documentary on the big networks along
the lines of the book I’m always flogging, <a

America. That would shock the crap out of people — except those
who already lack insurance, of course. After tonight’s show, Charles
Gibson promised more coverage along these lines, in honor of Jennings.
How about it, Charlie? How about the uninsured next?
