Thanks to everyone for your votes and for your suggestions in the comments to my previous post on this subject. To the extent we have a consensus, it seems to be that the word “post” should be part of the new name, and I agree with that idea.
So: I have removed the previous polls, and have installed a new one in the upper right hand corner of the front page (for some reason, you can only see the poll if you’re on our home page. The choices are all variations on “post.” Let us know what you think by voting, commenting, or both.

a checkbox that would let the poll appear on individual diary pages as well? that way folks coming to the post from, say, the MA lefty blogwire will be able to see the poll without having to click back to the front page.
