Physicians agree that staying active is an important aspect of staying healthy, so with your well being in mind the political doctors here at BMG suggest you consider the following (with a hit tip to Jesse Gordon):
> Register by Dec. 31st as a Democrat, to vote at your local Democratic Party caucus in February. You can’t vote at the caucus unless you’re a Democrat. If you’re currently registered as an Independent you can change using the standard voter registration form, available at the Election Commisssion, or at any Registry of Motor Vehicles, or at most libraries.
> Attend your Democratic Party caucus on 4 February. Arrive early since the doors are locked at the appointed starting time (following a system popularized by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union).
> Run as a delegate to the State Convention. Bring a dozen friends who registered as Democrats by 31 December to help you get elected. (Call Jesse at 617-320-6989 if you want to be added to the Deval Patrick slate).
Some upcoming events:
> Dec. 15th: Holiday party at the S&S Restaurant in Inman Square, starting at 7:00: hosted by the Ward 6 Democratic Committee.
> Dec. 18th: Denise Provost, a progressive running for State Rep. in Somerville, welcomes volunteers at her campaign HQ: 259 Elm Street in Davis Square.
> Dec. 22nd: Progressive Democrats of Cambridge meeting; 7:00pm, location TBA; contact Lesley Phillips at lrphillips@rocketmail.com.

You should add that the holiday party tonight is hosted by the Cambridge Ward 6 Democratic Committee, and is in Inman Square, Cambridge. To readers of Jesse’s email list this would be implicit, that’s probably not true for all readers of Blue Mass Group đŸ™‚

I definitely want to thank Jesse Gordon for all his hard work, and for his dedication to the cause of electing progressive candidates to political office.
I should point out that in addition to contacting Jesse, people who are interested in becoming delegates on behalf of Deval Patrick, or who are interested in participating in the caucuses and voting for the Deval Patrick slate, can also contact the Deval Patrick Committee directly at 617-367-2006. They will be able to put you in touch with the organizer in your town or ward.

The easiest way to get in touch is to email Nancy Stolberg, the campaign’s Field Director, at nstolberg@devalpatrick.com, to have your information passed on directly to the correct coordinator.

I posted this in the diary section, but felt it deserved a comment as well. Sorry for the repeat.
