Where’s Mitt? Not here!
A few weeks ago, I made the ho-ho “prediction” that Our Guv would go
“into self-imposed exile from Massachusetts”. Good for a chuckle, huh?
(Go ahead, it feels good.)
So what do you call this?
<a
href=”http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/01/27/romneys_travel_plans?mode=PF”>Governor
Mitt Romney, who is considering a 2008 race for president, has a busy
out-of-state schedule this year.
- Jan. 3: Republican Governors Association meeting in Woodbine,
Ga.
- Jan. 20: GOP fund-raiser in Omaha, Neb.
- Jan. 21: Fund-raiser in Iowa for speaker of the House.
- Jan. 23: Palm Beach, Fla., for evening Republican National
Committee fund-raiser.
- Jan. 26: Washington, D.C., lunch with reporters and speech at
Heritage Foundation.
- Jan. 27: Speaks on education reform at a GOP event in Milford,
N.H.
And if this president thing doesn’t work out, I hear real estate on the
Isle of St. Helena
has avoided the bubble.
You know, it’s a good thing he doesn’t take a salary, because I don’t
see how he can actually be getting much work done here. At least Tom
Reilly probably needs the money.
mendmass says
While we can all joke about the lack of funds that Reilly has in his personal bank account, at least we know that he has a track record of showing up to do the job that we elected him to do…

It’s difficult for me to continually see our state elect the latest bored millionaire. I think it’s great that these folks feel the need to give back to our state with their time not their money…unless you count the $ they spend on their campaigns…but why the corner office? I really hope that Reilly doesn’t pick Gabrieli as his running mate so that we can show the people that it doesn’t take a millionaire to get elected Governor!
mannygoldstein says
Is there any way whatsoever that we can flush Willard “Mitt” Romney from office? I’d be willing to collect signatures, gang-moon him, or do whatever is necessary.
david says
that a relentless campaign of gang-mooning would be the most promising strategy! đŸ™‚
