Word out of the Barrios camp is that Rep. Festa was not pro gay marriage until after the Goodrich decision. Until the decision was announed, he was for separate but equal civil unions.
I say, Who cares? Festa was a civil unions proponent until Goodrich. But it’s not where you were then – It’s where you are now. I personally don’t care about political motives for his position. I only care that he is now doing the right thing and is a leader on the issue.
Mr. Barrios should worry more about Gerry Leone’s resume that Mike Festa’s progressive credentials.
