First, there’s nothing better than setting your alarm clock on a Sunday morning to check out “This Week” with George Stephanopolous and have the guests be Senators Obama and Hagel. Both parties would be MUCH better served (as would the nation), if these were the guys running the show.
Second, and more pertinent to BMG, was the roundtable discussion, where Joe “Mitt Romney’s #1 Fan” Klein, made another plug for Romney-style individual mandates on the federal level. EJ Dionne gave a more tepid review (from the “something is better than nothing” school of thought”) and George Will said such mandates were derived from the “logic of welfare state.” BMG has been all over Klein’s candidate-crush on Romney for some time, but this most recent plug leaves me thinking, should Erich Fehrnstrom be worried about his job?
