Tonight I’m doing a concert of Schubert’s song cycle Die Schöne Müllerin at Harvard’s Holden Chapel, 8pm, with pianist Rodney Lister. It’s a small venue: only 80 seats or so. Admission is free, but I’ll be taking donations for my cousin Anna’s work in New Orleans.
Her Quaker meeting in Bennington VT is accepting donations on her behalf. You can send checks to:
Bennington Monthly Meeting
Religious Society of Friends
PO Box 221
Bennington, VT 05201
Note on check: âFor New Orleansâ or âAnna in New Orleansâ
… and I’m working on setting up a PayPal site for donations. Again, according to Anna, this goes towards pretty basic stuff:
WATER! (gallon jugs preferable)
Gallons of bleach/ cleaning supplies
scrub brushes
ventilation masks
disposable coverall suits
rubber gloves
rechargeable/non-rechargeable batteries
flash lights
candles
buckets
generators
hot water heaters
refrigerator
washers
dryers
drywall
nails
2×4 and other building materials…
In totally unrelated news, think nice things about David, who’s under the weather this weekend.
