After a brief hiatus, I am back with links. Sorry for making you wait.
Dave Scondras is having a fundraiser for Mike Festa. link. This is the same Scondras who solicited a 16-year-old boy at teh movies some time ago. Check out. Not too comforting that this is the type of (out of district) support Festa is relying on.
Festa also tried to help a thief keep his CPA license. Check out Gurry vs. Board of Public Accounting SJC 394 mass 118. Is this the experience he will bring to the biggest law office in the county?
On supporters, we has Linsky and St. Fleur among others. St. Fleur’s problems are well documented, though Eileen MaNamara’s last piece said that St. Fleur sends her kind to a posh private school. Check out www.boston.com for her article. As for Linsky’s well-documented not paying his taxes, there’s plenty of info by googling. Here’s a link though:; The Herald had the original story. Does anyone who supports Festa actually obey the law, or at least feel bad when they ignore it.
Finally, let’s talk about Festa’s support from Grossman, who was Festa’s second choice. Grossman has great instincts. Here’s what he said about St. Fleur: “She’s somebody who is going to ignite a lot of passion and energy in the grassroots of the Democratic party.” You can confirm that by going [here www.thephoenix.com/article_ektid3038.aspx].
Given the careful sourcing, this should manage to stay up for a while.

Festa may not be the best choice but Barrios isn’t turning any real interest either.

It is very clear at this point that Barrios’ interest is Barrios’. The $120k salary attached to the position seems to have perked his interest. Not to mention the fact that he likes the stepping stone approach that the seat’s previous holders have made. Middlesex DA to Attorney General’s Office to failed attempt at the Governor’s office.

Seems strange that lawyer who really hasn’t practiced law especially criminal law wants one of the top law enforcement positions in the state.

This caught my attention because I know and respect David Scondras.

First of all, “out of district” is plainly false. Festa is running for Middlesex DA. David Scondras lives a few blocks from me, in the Area 4 neighborhood of Cambridge, where he’s the neighborhood coalition’s community organizer. We’re most definitey in Middlesex County, and fairly close to Jarrett Barrios’ senate district. David Scondras will be eligible to vote in this race.

Secondly, the link you posted to planetout.com doesn’t work. I couldn’t find any mention of this searching their site. I googled around a bit, and came up with this. What you present as if it were a fact, sounds like it didn’t happen. It sounds like someone attacked him, he reported it to the police, and the assailant made up this story to get off the hook. Then he backed off, and the case was dropped.

I strongly suspect the rest of your claims are equally specious.
