Both of the political gaffes were as result of helping friends . There was nothing evil or illegal at what he did. Everyone will admit he is an honest,decent, compassionate person.The decisions were simply stupid, ill advised and illustrates that he is a unsophisticated politician. So was Harry Truman. Remember Reilly is a 20 year state employee,the attorney general, who has run unopposed twice. A touch of arrogance perhaps? As the Commonwealth’s super cop where every lawyer and business person in the state kisses your butt and those who are opposed don’t make it too obvious. I believe he needs a quick makeover and a sophisticated public relations guru to highlight those Harry Trumanesque qualities to the public. The call to a friend in need , the bold selection of a black women to serve with him. All of this negative energy can be morphed into positives . I say don’t write this guy off yet!
