In the spirit of including some differently-winged blogs, here is my favorite quote from Atlas Shrugged by Objectivist, Ayn Rand.
In response to the question – What is morality?
âJudgment to distinguish right from wrong, vision to see the truth, courage to act upon it, dedication to that which is good, integrity to stand by the good at any price. But where does one find it?â
Followed with the immortal line â âWho is John Galt?â
My answer to that is – you don’t look for it, you embody it.
Now there are parts of the book I strongly disagree with but still there are real lessons to be learned from reading books outside of the normal Dem reading list. Donât take this as a recommendation to read Coulter or Hannity. I have some self-respect!
What quotes inspire you or do you use as guideposts?
I think of this often in reading/writing blogs:

“Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.”
<

And I beg you to extend the same indulgence to me.
And a dreadful writer.

Her basic problem was that she doesn’t really have a very good understanding of the way the world works.

In any event, as to quotations:
<

L’histoire est une fable convenue. History is a lie agreed upon.
