Here’s a great article about a Watertown blogger by former Boston Phoenix media critic Dan Kennedy. The blogger’s a mom who somehow finds the time to get out there and cover local politics (registration reqd., but it’s free.)
This is what I think we should be promoting. Top Kerry staffer Setti Warren suggested we focus more on teaching civics at school. I couldn’t agree more. For those of us who have graduated, though, nothing’s better than a front line civics class, writing about what’s going on in your neighborhood.
Does anyone else out there cover meetings, or write stories about their towns?
