I have always really liked the idea of an events calendar on this page, but the old calendar format (which showed the current month) wasn’t very useful – you had to click on a day to see what was happening that day, so it wasn’t possible to glance at it and see if you were interested. As a result, it wasn’t used very much.
Fortunately, there is now a much-improved way of doing this. The “Upcoming Events” box, located below the “About” box on the left side of the screen, is a dynamic, self-updating list of the next half-dozen events that anyone (yes, that means you!) has added into the system. Candidate forums, fundraisers, town committee meetings, you name it – anything you think other people who use this site might want to know about can go in there.
All you have to do is click the “Add event” link at the bottom of the box, type in your info, and it will show up in the box. So please use it!

I added a second date for primary day, since the date Charley entered was wrong … can you erase the old one?

Somehow “9/19/06” turned into “9/16/06”, which doesn’t make any sense… and no, I’m not dyslexic.

I think it’s only on the main page.

the calendar only shows up if you’re looking at the home page, not if you’re on the page for a specific post that shows comments. Not sure why….I don’t have total control over these things!
