Only in America can we consider legislation on the banning of help for those in this county illegally and then have some of those illegal aliens protest that legislation. Seriously, this is amazing and I think unique to the United States.
This highlights some real differences between Democrats and Republicans. Republicans seem to believe that by solely enforcing the law they can solve problems. This is the same position they take on drugs and the same position they will take on abortion if Roe V Wade is overturned.
Here is the tricky part as we know. Republicans are very good at taking an issue like immigration or drugs and turning the story into Dems are soft on crime. Forget about whether what they say is true. How do you stand for these issues and not be portrayed as soft on crime?
