The Hull Times cannot be viewed on line. Their headline proclaimed “Davy almost certain to run for State Treasurer”
One paragraph states:
Davy, a member of the Hull Republican Town Committee who was elected a selectman last May,confirmed Wednesday that nomination papers for the treasurer’s post are being circulated on his behalf.
Wednesday would be April 12 – the Hull Times is published on Thursdays and this was from the April 13th edition.
From BelowBoston diary on Davy:
the article does say that that GOP officials recruited him to run and and those same officials will help him with fundraising and field operations.
Davy anticipates having to raise a half million dollars to mount this campaign.
Davy’s background, as spelled out by the Hull Times, is that he is a Marine Corp veteran and he retired as a CEO of a large healthcare company which was not named in the article. He evidently didn’t like retirement and subsequenty started working for Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor.
He was a member of the Hull Advisory Board and local board of assesors and he was defeated in his first attempt at Selectman.
Check us out at Below Boston we are getting on our blogging feet and we hope to add a “progressive light on the political landscape from Quincy to the Cape” with other stuff thrown in the mix at times also.
Nifty to see a blog start out your way. It was woefully underrepresented.
