AP reports that, as expected, “Governor” Romney vetoed the employer assessment in the new health care bill. AP says he also vetoed several other provisions of the bill, but doesn’t say what they were.
Let’s hope that the Democrats make a LOT OF NOISE about Romney’s disgraceful behavior on this bill. He is getting way more credit than he deserves for it from national observers, and it’s high time the truth got out.
Please share widely!
It was obvious Willard was going to veto that part, and hay should be made.

The Dems (inc US Senators and members of US House) should emphasize that the bill was passed in spite of Willard’s efforts, and that he deserves no praise for this monumental improvement in the health care of millions of Massachutens*.

And, the state legislature should override the veto with a $296 assessment, as a $1 F You to the Willarnator himself.

He also vetoed a provision that would provide adult oral health coverage for Mass Health recipients. Please, let’s not loose this in our discussion to the much more divisive issue of employer assessment.
Here’s a brief description of each of the sections, and a paraphrase of the Governor’s objections.
