No, not David Letterman’s, although he doubtless ends up there a lot; Time Magazine calls him one of the best senators for, you know, actually getting things done:
Over 43 years in the senate, Democrat Ted Kennedy has fought serial battles on behalf of the working classâfrom defending overtime pay and workplace-safety regulations to expanding health-care availability and penalizing discrimination. But the key to his legacy is not that he is determined to stick up for his principles. It’s that he is willing to compromise on them.
Yes, he can bluster; but conservative demonization of Ted Kennedy has always been wide of the mark.
He’s still wrong on Cape Wind, though. Come on, Teddy, turn it around.
FYI: Time’s Top 10 Senators:
Thad Cochran (R-MS)
Kent Conrad (D-ND)
Dick Durbin (D-IL)
Ted Kennedy (D-MA)
Jon Kyl (R-AZ)
Carl Levin (D-MI)
Richard Lugar (R-IN)
John McCain (R-AZ)
Olympia J. Snowe (R-ME)
Arlen Specter (R-PA)

and grandstanding , I respect him because he has done soo much for the state of Massachusetts. Anyone who is involved in dealing with the feds understand how much real power he has behind the scenes. Kerry, however is only interested in himself and does squat for this state.
