So for some reason, our fine governor here in Massachusetts has decided to visit the US detention facility in Guantanamo Bay. Why is a state governor visiting an internationally denounced military facility? Hard to say. But here are some guesses.
5. It’s not in Massachusetts.
4. Military photo-ops of MA governors running for President go so well–just ask Dukakis about that tank!
3. Wanted to recruit the Cuban vote without stepping on Jeb’s toes in Miami.

When will Mitt learn? Cravenly appealing to the pro-torture anti-Constitution right-wing with macho tough-guy posturing is just going to backfire and embarrass him in the GOP primary debates.

There will be a stream of people from Mass. working to defeat him in the NH primary, more so every time he pulls a publicity stunt like this one. It’s truly shameful, even for the low standards one must use to judge Mitt.
I think Mitt should stay in Gitmo.
