With regret, we have (I hope) temporarily taken down the LeftyBlogs ticker that is supposed to show recent posts from all of the blogs that are signed up with them. For some reason unknown to us, nothing at Blue Mass. Group has appeared in the ticker for quite some time, although no changes have been made to our RSS feed lately, and as far as I can tell RSS is working properly. We have repeatedly written to the folks at Mandate Media (who manage LeftyBlogs) for help, or at least an explanation, but they haven’t responded.
The LeftyBlogs ticker is a great service, but we can’t have it taking up valuable real estate if it’s not carrying our posts. Here’s hoping the problem is fixed soon.
I hope Mandate Media gets back to you. I’m surprised they weren’t listing BMG posts. In the meantime, good managerial decision — space is money.
It’s just some technical glitch that we need their help to fix.
David, why would whether the ticker carries your posts make a difference as to whether you have it on your site or not. The value of the ticker is that it shows what is going on elsewhere. It’s bad for the rest of us that you’re not showing up, but I don’t see why it would make a difference to you. Your posts already show up on your front page, after all.
