According to her Web site the American Civil Liberties Union is set to pick up where Leominster mom Mary Jean’s ex-attorney, DA candidate Dan Shea, left off.
Why does she need representation? Because it seems like Tom Reilly’s office has decided to appeal the injunction Ms. Jean won against the AG and the State Police regarding her post of the now famous (or infamous) arrest video.
According to Ms. Jean’s site the AG’s decision to appeal came after last Friday’s court date. Maybe they sensed weakness because Ms. Jean’s relationship with her former attorney had utterly and completely fallen apart.
So now it seems like the case of Mary T. Jean v. Commonwealth of Massachusetts et als is headed for the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit pitting the ACLU against Attorney General Tom Reilly.
