The problem is the very executors of our electoral system (in this case Diebold) could care less whether tampering is not just possible, but probable. And this from Newsweek, hardly a marginal news source.
My question is, how could you not support a paper receipt confirming your vote choice? It would hold up in court, and any cost is minimal compared to the damage 2000 did to many voter’s psyches (and I’m not talking about butterfly ballots. They’re a red herring.)
