Our keynote speaker, Michael Klare, has been the Professor of Peace and World Security at Hampshire College since 1985. He is also the Defense Editor for The Nation magazine, and was formerly Director of the Program on Militarism and Disarmament at the Institute of Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. Professor Klare’s books include Resource Wars, The New Landscape of Global Conflict; and Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of Americaâs Growing Dependency on Imported Petroleum.
