MoveOn members gather this evening all around the country for house parties to determine MoveOn’s three top policy goals for the next year. This is your chance to take the issues you care about most, and influence a powerful national progressive organization to work on them.
Last week, a small number of pilot house parties were held, including one in Cambridge. I attended, and wrote about it. The level of consensus at our gathering was remarkable – all of us agreed that MoveOn’s top three priorities should be:
- Universal health care access, funded through government, not by employers.
- Enhancing Democracy with with better election practices including public financing, paper ballots, and instant runoff voting.
- Energy independence through sustainable energy sources
