David said it first: The sky really is the limit for Chris Gabrieli’s spending. He got to decide the campaign spending limit, since Reilly and Patrick opted for public financing. It’s $15.36 million, but Gab might as well have said “A Bazillion! Yay!”. For comparison’s sake: Romney spent $9,361,004 to get elected in 2002, then a record. 15.36, says Gab, is his “lucky number”, since that’s the percentage of delegates he got at the convention. It’s all Monopoly money anyway, so why not?
You might as well flip out the sofa-bed for old Chris, ’cause you’re going to see a lot of him in your living room, at least until September.
